A new date – Tuesday 13 October 2020 – has been scheduled for InsuranceERM’s inaugural Insurance Risk & Capital Asia conference, which will take place in Hong Kong.
Building on the success of its sister conferences in London, New York and Bermuda, this event will discuss the issues that risk, actuarial and investment teams are dealing with on a daily basis.
The new date has been agreed following the coronavirus outbreak. Rating agency Standard & Poor’s has said it expects the crisis will stabilise globally in April, with virtually no new virus transmissions in May.
Sponsors for the Insurance Risk & Capital Asia conference are KPMG, Wellington Management, Natixis Investment Managers and Quantiative Risk Management (QRM).
Topics to be discussed include:
- Meeting stringent regulatory requirements – the CRO’s strategic response
- Developing scenario planning and stress testing practices as part of an effective ERM strategy
- Practical observations from IFRS 17 systems and software implementation
- The impact of digitalisation and technology innovation on risk management
Speakers at the conference are due to include Raymond Tam, executive director (policy and development) at Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority.
Heads of actuarial and risk from Axa, AIA Group and QBE Insurance will also be joined by chief investment officers from Prudential, HSBC Insurance and AIA International.
