InsuranceERM launches free report on climate risk and sustainability for insurers

A free and downloadable special report on climate risk and sustainability for insurers is now available from InsuranceERM, in partnership with Mazars and Moody's Analytics.

Insurers are under immense pressure from regulators, stakeholders as well as consumers to become more sustainable and understand the risks and opportunities from climate change and biodiversity loss.

This is also an area where thinking is evolving fast. In this special supplement, InsuranceERM has compiled a snapshot of insurers’ best practice on climate and sustainability strategy, risk analysis and disclosures.

Key topics featured in the supplement include:

  • Climate reporting becoming the new normal
  • How to approach climate scenario analysis
  • Best practice on transition plans
  • Considering nature and biodiversity risks alongside climate risks
  • Insurers' strategies to reach net zero
  • French insurer CNP Assurances' planet and people-focused approach to annual reporting
  • Why an engagement strategy is essential in the move to net zero
  • Review of insurers' TCFD reporting

The report also features expert corporate statements from Moody’s Analytics and Mazars, on climate scenario analysis for the life insurance sector, and best practice for insurers on climate risk and sustainability.
