The prestigious winners of InsuranceERM's UK & Europe awards 2025 can be revealed. These awards recognise the best in insurance risk management, the finest actuarial and risk modellers, as well as leading technology vendors, service providers and consultancies.
Hiscox's group chief risk officer (CRO), Fabrice Brossart, scooped the esteemed CRO of the year award. Being crowned InsuranceERM's CRO of the year is a rare honour bestowed upon few, but Brossart has now received that accolade twice in his career.
Oliver Grossman from actuarial consultancy LCP won young actuarial professional of the year, while Suzanne Brown at Axa Health picked up the young risk professional of the year award.
The winner of re/insurer of the year is MS Amlin, a Lloyd's syndicate that has transformed its risk management approach and has taken concrete steps to improve the diversity of its workforce, moves which have contributed to its best financial results in more than a decade.
Axa XL's science and natural perils team won the risk team of the year award for enhancing the underwriter's risk management approach, contributing insightful thought leadership and collaborating globally on research.
Moody's was a high achiever this year – winning five technology awards including catastrophe risk modelling solution of the year; IFRS 17 solution of the year; and stress scenarios software of the year.
Decision Focus's achievements were also recognised with its victories in three categories: ERM end-to-end solution of the year; operational risk solution of the year; and third-party risk solutions provider of the year.
InsuranceERM's deputy editor and commercial editor, Ronan McCaughey, thanked the independent panel of judges for their time, effort and expertise in selecting the winners, as well as everyone who submitted entries.
McCaughey said: "Each of InsuranceERM's award winners has contributed something truly special to the insurance market over the past year, whether through innovation, leadership, or unwavering commitment. Your success is well-deserved, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next."
