Crowe has secured the treble, winning the risk consultancy title for the third consecutive year, and a remarkable achievement.
This year's judges praised its "clear focus and customer testimonials". Another InsuranceERM judge said Crowe has continued to invest in risk management over the years and "demonstrated a drive to provide value to organisations".
The firm delivers these benefits by helping clients not just meet regulatory requirements, but leverage tangible value through a focus on the spirit and intent of regulation.
Over the last 18 months, for example, Crowe cites its role supporting a client as the company developed its roadmap and approaches to deal with climate risk. This included helping the client to respond to regulatory exercises, and integrating climate risk into the investment decision-making process.
Crowe's range of skills was also instrumental in supporting a client's submission to the Bank of England's climate biennial exploratory scenario exercise.
This ranged from project mobilisation, wider project management and delivery of the client's climate and ESG programme, through data sourcing and modelling support, to industry and regulatory insights to ensure successful disclosures.
Another case study that impressed the judges was between 2020 and 2021 when Crowe was engaged by a life insurer to define their governance and frameworks for operational resilience. Crowe has helped the client to understand the strategic intent of operational resilience regulations in terms of customer relationships, for example, but also delivered an integrated view of the client's related reliance on third and fourth parties.
Finally, the judging panel praised Crowe's focus on diversity. The firm is a former winner of InsuranceERM's Diversity Initiative of the Year award and its team give back through a range of professional and community activities supporting education and diversity.
